Progression is waaaaay too slow for playing without paying. Even when you watch all ads it takes ages to progress. The levels are challenging and give you the illusion you could beat them but it's actually way too hard without being high level. Had a lot of fun while I thought progression was still possible but it turned out to be just a carrot that you never really get.

Barring the progress issues that other reviews bring, this game feels like a beta. It's got a great concept and potential, but some of the simplest QoL things aren't there. The biggest offender is not being able to know what a perk does before selecting it. Some other offenders are: starting gear to try out builds, lack of saving mid-run (you can pause everywhere but not save even at checkpoints) and a collection screen to read up on traits you've already gotten.

Hello Patrick, we have added the "see what perks are before selecting it" to the to do list (unfortunately it's not going for the next update as it's already in testing phase). You can check from the pause menu the perks you got and click on them for a description. Thanks a lot for the feedback, I'll pass it to the team.

it is fun, don't get me wrong, I like a game I can jump into and play real quick, which before, I'd say this game did just that. However, this game has become pretty much unplayable if you have a few minutes to kill, cause you then have to wade through the update popups upon opening the app, then the ads to get you to buy characters or pets, or guns, or whatever else. I get you have a lot of features (perhaps too many) but this game lost it's simple nature and is just too much.
