I was really enjoying this app until the King and Queen Checkmate lesson got stuck in a loop that doesn't allow me to progress, only keep going backwards. After making the correct move (the app says it's the correct move) I am then sent backwards to make the same move again... and again... and again. There appears to be no way out.

I don't get why there's no moving back after Checkmate. My boy loves this app, but it never lets him discover alternatives after he loses, and it's hard for him to discover his mistakes and learn how to beat the harder levels so he's stuck and unable to progress. He doesn't speak English, so the "he should watch the lessons" is not a useful answer. He also doesn't read yet, so please, explain it to me in such a way that I can justify it to my 6 year old child and my wallet.

Thank you for this detailed feedback. We'll look into adding an option to take back moves when the game has ended in checkmate or a draw while playing vs. Bots. It's understandable that this could be very useful to Kids while honing their skills. Thanks for choosing ChessKid!

The app is good and my 6 year old picked up a few moves faster than what I would have taught him. The pass and play part is mostly good. For the downsides, I cannot find or add any of my kid's friends online so he doesn't get to play with them unless they visit. Also, puzzles without a clear objective is not what a kid is expected to solve (and some of the puzzle solutions are not even the best move). The puzzles vary between one/two step moves and something that needs six steps.

Thank you for this feedback. Kids can challenge their friends to Slow Chess games by tapping on their avatar on the app, then tapping on one of their friends' avatars. We're working to add Live Chess friendly challenges on the app! We'll also review Puzzle functionality, since Puzzle solutions with equivalent moves can be confusing.
