Just another pay2win lootbox game, don't waste your time. After spending many hours playing this game i am very disappointed. It is practically impossible to compete with other players without paying for lootboxes ('crates') since they directly make your units stronger. This is definitely one of the worst cases i've seen in any freemium mobile game. After you've unlocked NOD at level 9 you are basically done with this game because all the money you acquired with challenges and level progression is already spent on existing GDI units so you need to buy lootboxes or grind the daily challenges / free crate which gives a very little amount of money and cards. The game itself is interesting because of the real-time-strategy pvp aspect, but the clucky and slow controls and the buggy unit pathing ruin the experience. The graphics are very underwhelming, even for a mobile game. EA has once again made it very clear it does not care about making good games and has designed every aspect of this game to make the maximum amount of money. Don't support these practices and don't buy lootboxes, don't waste your time on this game.

- Just so you know, there's absolutely no money needed to get everything in this game as well as upgrade the units on your squad that can help you win matches. The only requirement is the time needed to play the game.

Really enjoyed the game but I've reached a point where I know I'm only being pitched against players who are 10-15 levels higher than I am (I know because of the units/commanders they're using). This, I believe is unfair, as my stats are taking a pretty bad hit. Edit: One star now, as it's pretty obvious there's no way of progressing without paying.

The gameplay itself is nice, which focuses on fast paced short term tactics. It's pay-to-progress, but you are (now) matched against players of similar progression, which avoids getting stomped on if you don't pay while others do (I didn't). At least give it a try to see if its for you.
